Gentle Enough for Baby Soap:   This is a castille-type soap.  Traditional castille soap is 100% olive oil, and usually takes 6 months to cure and harden.  My soap is a modified version of the tradition.  I use coconut oil for cleansing and later, joboba oil, because it is similar in composition to our own skin oils, and olive oil, for the wonderful, gentle condition it offers.  This is a very gentle soap, but is not “no more tears”, and care should be taken when using on baby.  This soap is good for everyone, all over face and body.  Ingredients: Organic olive oil, organic, unrefined coconut oil, jojoba oil, distilled water, sodium hydroxide, lavender essential oil. Banana Shampoo Bar:  Oh my goodness.  This is THE shampoo bar.  I’ve never been a fan of shampoo bars, because I find them to be a bit drying. But we hit the jackpot with this recipe.  It’s loaded with conditioning ingredients, smells amazing and the lather is luscious.  It contains coconut oil, olive oil, castor oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut milk, sodium hydroxide, farm fresh egg yolks, banana, citric acid, vetiver essential oil, rose geranium essential oil. If you are new to shampoo bars, please give your hair and scalp time to adjust.  You’ve been using commercial liquid shampoo for years, and are accustomed to a certain feel to the way they work and how your hair feels.  Things will be different with your shampoo bar.  First, you use it the way you would a bar of soap-rub on your head and create a lather, or rub bar in hands to create foam, then work through hair. This bar produces a lot of cleansing lather, but incorporates into your hair differently than liquid shampoo.   Work through hair and scalp, rinse, and repeat.  It’s important to repeat.  Follow up with a rinse of half raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar mixed with half water in a spray bottle.  Work through hair, comb with wide toothed comb if your hair is long.  Lightly rinse.  You’re done. Please give your hair at least a month to adjust before you truly formulate your opinion about this shampoo bar.  I have very long hair, and it took me about four weeks to adjust.  Now, I absolutely love how this bar makes my hair feel. It’s soft, the curls are perkier, it feels clean, my scalp feels healthy, and the best part, is I now only shampoo my hair 1-2 times per week. Net Wt. Approx 5 oz.  Price: $7.00.
